Haha, ok I don’t actually have anywhere near that many subscribers. But Leo Babuata at Zen Habits does and he is one of the reasons I started this whole blog thing in the first place. Back in late 2007, a friend of mine introduced me to his blog. By the time I started following it, I believe he had just quit his job to become a full time blogger/writer. When I read that, it kind of stopped me in my tracks. Really? You can support a family of 8 on a blogger’s income?? Obviously it caught my attention.
I started following his blog more and then through the comments and guest posts, I found other blogs by people who were also creating an income by blogging. In fact, there is this entire subculture of people who are doing this.
You can read all about how Leo made his blog successful and began creating a business around his blog and community by downloading his free e-guide called “How I got over 150,000 Subscribers: Lessons from Zen Habits”. It’s an interesting read for anyone contemplating the location independent / lifestyle design life. Again, I don’t get anything for recommending this guide, except the pleasure of knowing that I may be helping you head towards a lifestyle of freedom. However, I DO get something (a discount on my membership) if you decide that you want to join the A-List Blogging Club. Oh and if you’re wondering if you’ll get spammed when you sign up, you will get some emails here and there about the A-List Blogging Bootcamp, but you can unsubscribe at any time if you are not interested.
